Just watched the video on NDB…

stopped at the explaining of 3 obstacles to make nuclear batteries a reality… the first being “proof of concept to ensure it works”… Fooook me. 5 minutes into a 7 minute explanation video and it is all hypothetical!

I know I know. I have a limitless power source too!. I’m going to make a giant butter knife and I’m going to cut a chunk out the sun and bring it back to earth. Please give me $100 million to test this concept!

Seriously though, nice idea - but I think it’s probably going to come up flawed. As a layman, I can think of one… they want to make Diamond from radioactive carbon. Do they know how much energy that would take?
