Since we mentioned the increased number of animals in the game yesterday:


I’m trying to unlock everything right now and got a bit stuck. After getting every SHD tech I could find and one I got by acciddent I went on a google tour.

Looks like there are another 10 to be found, at least judging from the amount needed for the leftover perks. So choose wisely.


I’ve just been dumping any available SHD points into the perks as I have them. :smiley:


Well be carefull, as I said unless you find more hidden caches you run short a few for everything. I got all skills but I miss a few perks. I assume they have hidden more in the world for people trying to unlock all, as there are these 4 hidden in the Washington area. Possible more hidden somewhere else. But the 4 ones in the link +1 is all I know of so far.


Does no one else find a lot of the perks disappointing or plane useless?

“Light up all the crares in the area when you resupply a point” - Really? Do I not have eyes in my fucking head? Can I not find them myself?

Spend 5 to get a crate?

Unlock mostly bullshit weapon attachments?



I thought this in the beta already. Most of the perks are ease of life improvements and should have been in the game as is. They used to be essential build variables, as you could only have 3 or 4 of them active. Sadly they aren’t anymore and boil down to a hide and seek farm grind, especially when youi got all marked ones and need the hidden ones.

Build variety is improved in other aspects of the game and if we are honest, only around 5-8 of the old perks were useful anyway with 3 almost mandatory and the other 5 for very specific builds!

I still miss them, I think they changed it as most of the time people abused them with methods they didn’t see coming!

We’ve been chased around those sewers by that big fucker so many times.


Reminder to all: If you’ve crafted a weapon and you’re happy/use it at lot, don’t forget to go back and craft another one when you’ve levelled up.

I started off with a 5.3k M700 that went to 6.3k the next craft, then it rolled a 9.3k just before I logged out tonight.

All the same recipe with the same reqs.

The same seems to happen for the gear as well (minus the attachments) but since sets are now falling out of every one of the enemy’s various holes I find the set benefits too good to pass up for a one-off stat bump I’ll probably top the next time I get a a set piece drop any way.

I actually like how common the sets are, I never felt able to do much with the set items in D1.


Well thats maybe because you leveled up inbetween? The blueprints scale now with level and later the bench can be upgraded when the higher gear scores are available. Otherwise you found a jucy bug :wink: .

I ddn’t craft anything other than attachments to not waste ressources. As the attachements seem to be the same later, they are still useful BUT you gain gear at such a high rate earlier I didn’t see a reason to craft anything anyway. The crafting ressources you need later are the same, so it made sense to me to save up.

I love the new brand set gear its awesome. The have real sets too btw. they showed those a while back. Not sure when they drop though and I didn’t got any Legendary weapon drops yet.


Ahh yeah I know its scaling and that is intentional, I’m just not used to the scaling being so significant and it being worth recrafting weapons each level. I just don’t remember it being quite like it is now in the old game, the stats increases were often quite low from what I remember.

On a side note, this is that killer track I was going on about on Saturday:

Lotsa Messuggah, Fear Factory and a bit of Nosia or Emancipator in there as well.


The old game had no scaling blueprints, you needed a new one for a different gear score each time! They changed in this version to make the older blueprints more relavant and achieve a less cluttered crafting UI.

I quite like the chage, now you just upgrade the entire crafting bench to a higher gear score (or rarity in the beginning) if needed and be done with it and all the blueprints automtomatically change.

Except the legendary drops I think, they still needed the “uptiering” from gearscore to gearscore.

I like the song, I switched the music in the game off though to have my own stuff on the side. They looped too many times!


Had a good run around with @vredesbyrd and @Kate yesterday in the south of the map, ran the Artillery mission in Jefferson and then a few control points and random events.

Still rocking the LMG (now a blue lvl 15 249B Para) and with an MP7 or Socom M1A as a secondary. Snub-nosed Rhino pistol with 2.4K damage.

The gear sets being available from early game is nice as it gives you something to work towards in a sense. There is some russian named set that boosts LMG damage and turrets, so I’m all for that. I’d be tempted to swap out my Drone for the Turret, but I find the drone great for dealing with Snipers or picking off stragglers that try to flank me and not having to worry about them.

Most of the East of the map is clear now, just a few control points to flush out and Projects to complete.

Had a completely random interaction with some bastard True Sons. Ran around a corner amongst the ruined metro trains above ground, ran into 3 purples and a yellow. No event, no cache, no control point, no mission, nothing. Just these random angry people. All were subsequently murdered and good loot was had, huzzah!

There was one point yesterday with Vred, Kate, Ched and I were playing the Aerospace mission and a mission trigger kicked in and a swarm of reds, purples and a yellow came out of a doorway, but unfortunately for them they ran straight into 4 x LMGs hosing the doorway and they didn’t even get to take a step forward. I think I can put that down on the list of top 5 most horrific kills in the Division.


LVL 4 and just got a M60…LOVING IT. Sounds lovely, hits hard and have allll the bullets!!!1!!!1111


Yeah that Aerospace mission bit was really brutal for those guys! It almost felt like they didn’t get a chance to get a shot off before they got mullered!

This game does reward good squad work and I enjoyed the shoutouts from the group about baddies flanking as that deffo makes firefights more intense in this compared to the first game where the bad guys would move but not try to get completely behind you like in Div. 2!


@NaloaC - do you run any healing skills, or are both skills offensive? I run a turret and drone as a heal… MAY look into drone as offensive and summat else as heal, however, got a turret and possible turret perks due to gear, so…


I run the Disco Hedgehog for armour healing and the Nade launcher with the Napalm jobbie.


Also, if folk have unlocked teh clan lady and haven’t had an invite, let me or MintyFresh now and we’ll sort it out :smiley:


Nah, I’m relying on weapon and gear talents that restore health and armour on damage/kill/headshot.

Both skills are purely offensive.
