What have you just bought?

I’m a huge fan of monitor arms - Got rid of my old ones when I moved house. Got a gas controlled one for my 4K screen - well worth it. Completely frees up my desk. I can set it right back to do work or watch films… and pull it close to play games and snipe…

highly recommended. Well built, and had cool features like a notch instead of holes to connect the top vesa screws - makes hanging it a doddle.

Nothing worse than a dirty monitor with Pot Noodle and Beer splatter on it. Always scared of scratching or smearing screens, especially if your monitor cost a fair bit of cash.

Got this today. Instantly left the monitor looking like new. Not a single smear - highly recommended.

Decided to up the security around the house a tad. Went with Eufy as they are purely on premise storage and are made by Anker, who historically, I have found to be pretty good. Also the doorbell has the highest res camera on the market.

This is going over the garage:

Funnily enough, this is going next to the front door.

I keep meaning to buy some of this ! But always forget haha

Handy thing the camera
Good to see one that’s not shoving cloud storage down your throat.

This little bugger is playing havoc with my motion detection. Want to see him catch a bug or something though.

Well, I ordered the Rift S for Ollie.

Also got an M2 drive for the PC for him too. Fresh drive as I’m keeping all my HDD’s.

Holy cow, that’s actually a damn decent price.

Is it any good for personal storage though?
Surely it’s designed for SAS/NAS drives where you have redundancy.

Still though, it’s tempting

Ah yes… Good point… Cannot be used with SATA drives… There goes my hopes of changing out a 6TB for one of these haha

What’s the raid rebuild time on an 18TB drive?

Soon™

A joke doesn’t necessarily need to be 10 chars. Jeeez.

I offered wifey the recommendations based on a limit she gave me of £800.

She went for…
